Faith Faith and more Faith by Nina Keegan

FAITH... sometimes we have faith for everyone but ourselves,

complete trust or confidence ...

FAITH.. it is the opposite of logic ..
all the great stories in the Bible where there was great faith, logic was disproved..

There is no room for Logic where there is a need for great Faith.. Faith that can move mountains.....it takes over where logic can no longer tread..

There was no logic that caused a little boy's  lunch of five loaves of bread and two fish to feed thousands and thousands, it was the faith that would bring the basket to be bottomless.. It was faith that let everyone eat until they were full and it was faith that collected 12 baskets of leftovers... A tangible visual of having what they ended with be more than what they started with..

Food unlimited.. Food multiplied... the food would not run out... It overflowed into possibility..( faith trusted Gods glorious power)...Not the logic of impossibility that there was no where near enough food in a boys basket to feed such a vast crowd.

Faith was in the obedience that  dared to believe and step out to feed the multitudes and in that simple act of saying "Yes" to what made no sense, God was able to work through them and do the miraculous..

God first needed the believer,  he needed the faith.. God needed to be "amened" He just needed that simple act of someone getting into agreement with God Almighty that He can do all things, He alone is sovereign and with Him nothing is impossible!

Through our obedience and faith in what we cannot see God will do more.. So much more..than just enough! He wants to do Exceedingly abundantly more..God will meet our needs and then give us leftovers, overflow, dry land in the middle of oceans, leveled mountains and torn down walls that are locking our victories out..

God can succeed where logic fails!

He will take that which seemed impossible and make it exceed our need.. Make it surpass understanding.. Believe..!!

Get your faith out of your faith and be audacious for God.. you have not because you ask not!
Ask big, think huge, don't put God in a box, don't set limits on our omnipotent, omnipresent supernatural God....!

What's in your basket?

John 6:5-13
New Living Translation (NLT)
5 Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, "Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?" 6 He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.
7 Philip replied, "Even if we worked for months, we wouldn't have enough money to feed them!"
8 Then Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up. 9 "There's a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?"
10 "Tell everyone to sit down," Jesus said. So they all sat down on the grassy slopes. (The men alone numbered about 5,000.) 11 Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted. 12 After everyone was full, Jesus told his disciples, "Now gather the leftovers, so that nothing is wasted." 13 So they picked up the pieces and filled twelve baskets with scraps left by the people who had eaten from the five barley loaves.

Jesus Was Only In A Hurry Once... by Nina Keegan

when Jesus walked the earth ministering to others, there was always a sense of rest.. he never seemed to be in a hurry. He encouraged people to not be worried, to stay in peace, to be at rest… He was never in a hurry even to go take care of Lazarus,(his good friend) while he was sick, in fact he showed up a few days after he was already dead… even then he was not in a hurry and Lazarus rose from the dead.
In the story of the two sisters Mary and Martha, Jesus encouraged Martha to sit down and rest at his feet like her sister Mary...
Martha was hurrying to get dinner on the table, rushing  about and worrying. Jesus did not like all the busyness and hurrying..he encouraged her to sit and rest.

Jesus whole ministry portrays him from a place of peace and a place of rest..that was his message except for one time….

In all four Gospels there's only one time when Jesus said "make haste", Just once, there  seemed to be an urgency in his voice and he seemed to be in an apparent hurry. Why?

Luke 19:5
When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. "Zacchaeus!" he said. "Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today."

This scripture is packed with information about the importance of salvation.

Zacchaeus was a tax collector who was very wealthy and he got that way by cheating people. He had a bad reputation about town and wasn't well-liked .. yet he had heard about Jesus and was excited to get a glimpse of him as he was passing by. Zacchaeus climbed up in a tree so he could see over the vast crowds that were gathered to see Jesus and those that were following him in great numbers.

What's interesting to me is that
We cannot hide from Jesus and he always knows exactly where we are… He looked straight up into the tree and called "Zacchaeus"by his name!
That had to have startled him… Jesus had known his name! Jesus always wants to be personal with us, he wants a loving, personal relationship with each one of us.
Jesus knows your name.

Next, Jesus said "quick come down!"
Zacchaeus  needed to come down quickly..
Jesus wanted to meet with him Jesus wanted him to be changed and to be saved… and, when it comes to our salvation, there is no time to waste. We never know when our last day on earth will be...and this was so important to Jesus. Also by Jesus telling him to come down, he was asking him to humble himself it was very metaphoric as Zacchaeus had quite a lofty self image… He had pride and he had greed. Jesus was trying to bring him back down to a place of humility.

The scripture goes on to say that Jesus said "I must be a guest at your house."

Zacchaeus was very quick to climb down from the tree and with great excitement and joy was ready to host Jesus at his house… We all should be so excited about an invitation from Jesus for our divine salvation.. but what I love is that Jesus didn't just stop with Zacchaeus,
He saved his entire household!

Jesus said to him, "TODAY salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.

Immediately Zacchaeus and his household were saved! I believe that's why Jesus said "Today"
He didn't wait for Zacchaeus to get cleaned up and get his act together, he didn't wait for him to be perfect to be saved.
No matter what you're doing, no matter what your besetting sin is, Jesus wants you to be his...sealed in salvation now!

When we accept Jesus as the Lord of our lives, then we can be a witness to our families.

The Bible says in Acts 16:31

"Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.

What's interesting is that when Jesus announced he was going to stay at Zacchaeus's house, he had to have said it loudly so that he could hear him all the way up in the tree. But I believe Jesus also wanted the entire crowd to hear him because Jesus wanted everyone to know that even though this man was a sinner, Jesus loved him and wanted him saved.
The people were very displeased that Jesus would be the guest in the home of a notorious sinner and they grumbled..

How many of us judge others that way by thinking that their sin is so much worse than ours? But that's what Jesus died for .. his whole purpose was to seek out the lost, the hurting, the broken, the sinners, he came to set us all free from sin and death.
 Jesus came for us all!!

In the end,
Zacchaeus would demonstrate total repentance. He would restore people that he had cheated and he would give half of his wealth to the poor….

When we get in the presence of Jesus that's when we come to a place of true repentance that's when we can totally let go of our sin! The blood of Jesus and his mercy and forgiveness for us redeems us and begins to rend our hearts pure.  It's in this place of repentance where we can call on Jesus to be the Lord of our lives and begin to live on purpose for Christ.

There is no time to waste and when it comes to your salvation and your household salvation. Jesus wants your whole heart and now, what are you waiting for? There is an urgency, call on the name of Jesus and be saved!
If you who have not yet made Jesus your Lord and Savior say this prayer and call on Jesus now..

"Heavenly father I repent of my sins I know that you sent your son Jesus to die on the cross for me, to forgive me of all my sins, and then he was raised from the dead for my eternal salvation.
Jesus, I ask you to come into my heart now and I make you the Lord of my life in Jesus name I pray."

Acts 2:21
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

If you have made the decision to make Jesus the Lord of your life I pray for you right now and for everyone reading this that behold you are a new creation in Christ! Stay in the word, get in a good Bible-based church and begin to listen and read the word. There are angels rejoicing right now because of your decision.

God bless you all!

Be made New... by Nina Keegan

God is always guiding us, every notion, every thought you ever have comes from one of two places... do not let your heart be hardened by not listening to that still small voice, that feeling that starts to bother you when you are off track!
Always let that voice… "Gods voice" trump the voice that says "it's OK to do your own thing", the one that tells you that you're sin isn't that bad...! After all, everyone else is doing it... or "their sin is way worse than mine... " do not live in what I'd like to call justifiable ignorance..

Do not measure your sin by your own standards of deeming the severity of someone else's sin...

Like a loving parent, God is never not with us... he's incessantly trying to teach us and to lead us. We should be ever mindful to obey and listen to him because that's where our peace and victory come from. When we obey the Word of God and refuse to pay attention to what the world is offering… We can walk in the blessings of divine obedience.

Our unwillingness to pay attention to God's commands, invites self inflicted sorrow and threatens that peace that we get to have through God and God alone..! It's like we've stepped out of the covering and divine protection of God  through our own free will and willful defiance.

The Scripture says in Isaiah 48:17
" I am the Lord your God who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the path that you should follow! Oh that you had listened to my commands, then you would've had peace flowing like a gentle river and righteousness rolling over you like the waves of the sea."

After 40 years in captivity, the Israelites were finally shouting with joy as they crossed the Red Sea, free from slavery at last!
40 whole years of wilderness before they finally got it right...
Why were they so blatantly defiant..?
They were actually worshiping idols and melting their own jewelry to build golden calves to worship simultaneously while God is feeding them manna from heaven .... food is literally falling from heaven... miraculously appearing daily from the sky to feed them and yet....they still were determined to worship something else, they still continued to murmur, grumble and complain, ... this seems so erratically audacious to me !!!

What are you doing that has you repeatedly treking around the wilderness while staring at the locked gates to the promised land..?

What is holding you captive, what is your besetting sin? Be free! The Lord has already redeemed his children from slavery to sin through the death of his son Jesus... When you let God free you from your captivity, you will also be shouting with joy and entering into the promised land of being a new creation in Christ.

There is nothing like the peace and the freedom of walking in victory from strongholds. You too can be free from any addiction, any besetting sin, you can be free from fear, anxiety, depression, illness, you can be an over-comer through the blood of the lamb and the word of your testimony. Declare it!

Many people continuously cry out for the need of comfort, security and relief from the turmoil and discomfort they are going through but they haven't taken the first step to repent and turn away from their sin.

The choice to remain in sin closes off the ability we have to receive from God....
God is not pushy, we have free will and he is waiting on us to call on his name and make the determined decision to turn our lives over to him.
We must repent and turn to God and trust him to take over.

If you want true peace, seek God first.. He is  the one who can help you change your situation. He is the one who can bring you freedom from the enemies stronghold!

The scripture says in Isaiah 48:20 ( paraphrase)
Yet even now be free from your captivity! The Lord has redeemed his servants.. they were not thirsty when he led them to the desert, he divided the rock and water gushed out for them to drink, "but there is no peace for the wicked!" says the Lord...

Isaiah 49:8
This is what the Lord says:"  I will respond to you on the day of salvation I will help you. I will protect you .."

God will bring you into the light..
He will bring you into freedom, for you will no longer hunger and thirst or be searching for all the things to fill the void that only God can fill through his love, peace and mercy!
God loves you with an everlasting love, he has your name written on the palms of his hands!

All glory to God!
He will never leave you or forsake you ...let God do the impossible in your life because that's where God starts!

Call on the name of JESUS NOW...and be saved! Let God rescue you and pluck you out of harms way and set you down on solid ground which is the rock… Jesus our rock and our redeemer!

Isaiah 43:19
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Grow up in Christ by Nina Keegan

God wants us to mature in Him..  we are all His children.. and like all parents God watches us grow up, He wants us to mature in Him!

In Hebrews 6:1
It says "so let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again... let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding, surely we do not need to start again with fundamental importance of repenting of evil deeds and placing our faith in God...
In verse three it says .."and so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding..."
I pray daily that great would be my understanding of all things of God... When we read His word let's ask God to show us great and mighty things through His word that he wants us to know ...things that we do not yet know that we need to overcome all evil!

While Jesus was here on earth, He set about doing God's work..He offered prayers,Did great healing's ..comforted the hurting.. and he had a deep reverence for God. God heard his prayers and because of this deep reverence and love , Jesus walked in the  supernatural power of his Father.
As Jesus is in the world  ...so are we! 1 John 4:17

In order for us to grow from infant Christians to mature Christians, we must learn discernment. We must have a great reverence and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit in us. We must train ourselves, our senses, our mind and our body to distinguish good from evil. We must learn to recognize any evil and any temptation before it traps us.

Life as a Christian is a process the Bible talks about starting off as babies on milk and eventually growing into solid food ...the mighty Word of God and it's fullness in all truth .
Too often we want God's full banquet before we are spiritually and thoroughly capable fully digesting it.

Mature Christians should be digesting the word and acting it out, be a doer of the word. We must understand and know that we can and should be walking in the supernatural and doing the things Jesus died for us to be able to do.
We can receive the anointing through salvation and through understanding what's ours in the word of God and claim these promises to heal the sick... to receive the fullness of all joy and peace… To be set free from every besetting sin and stronghold of addiction.

As Christians we should be walking in the demonstration of God's power ... and we should be living examples of his perfect will for us!

In Hebrews 6 verse 18 it says that God has given both his promise and his oath it says that God BOUND himself to this oath ...that means it is unchangeable!
And when we BIND ourselves TO GOD , then we too can be immovable and unshakable in Him. we too can be BOUND TO THAT SAME OATH!

God is the ANCHOR of our souls..

This hope that we have in him is strong and trustworthy...
Because that's who HE is..strong and trustworthy! God's oath is as good as his name! God's name is as good as his divine nature..!

Let's pray for strength and for maturity in Him..Let us Bind ourselves to the word of God and pray for a great understanding of the mysteries of his will for our lives. Let's seek the promised abundance of his perfect truth, let's let the word of God Pierce our hearts and our souls as we step out in supernatural faith to glorify God in all we do!!!

Do not be a Christian in name only. Make sure your life bears great fruit. God is very just and he never forgets or overlooks our hard work when we seek him first and glorify his name in all we do!

May you be abundantly blessed!

Hebrews 5:11-14NLT

A Call to Spiritual Growth

11 There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. 12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word.[a] You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

Hebrews 6:1-3New Living Translation (NLT)

So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds[a]and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.

Hebrews 7:17

God also BOUND  himself with an oath so that those who receive the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Luke 10:38-42

I love this story in the Bible of Mary and Martha..  2 siblings who no doubt have their  normal rivalries and unique gifts and of course complaints about one another.. What two siblings have not had these fault finding  issues from time to time?

MARTHA WAS SO CAUGHT UP IN HER "work" in preparing for a dinner at her home for JESUS.. can you imagine if Jesus came to your house to eat a meal? that's a high level stressor for sure... Or is it?
What would Jesus want?
Would Jesus expect there to be a perfectly clean house, an elegantly set table, a gourmet meal of the finest cuisine?

No certainly not.. Jesus loved to just be with his friends, he loved to teach them and show them how much their Father in heaven loves them.. He was more concerned about the people gathered at the home for dinner than the dinner itself. He loves and cares about the hearts and souls of his sweet friends.

He calls us friend..
John 15:15

Mary sat his feet trying to soak up every bit of Jesus' knowledgeable and loving teachings. She simply longed to spend time in the presence of the Lord. Nothing was more important to her than seeking him , being in his presence..

By contrast Martha thought because she was doing something in the name of ministry..  trying to impress Jesus, that she was just in her complaining of Mary's lack of help in the preparations.

We are not human doings we are human beings and yes sometimes we let the good things (even working in ministry or volunteering etc.) get in the way of the greatest thing who is "JESUS" by doing a lot of good things we can miss out on the greatest thing as we can get too bogged down even though the good things are for the Lord. We must seek Him first .. We need to rest in him.. If not .. It's all like chasing the wind..

The enemy comes to wear out the saints.. Daniel 7:25

What am I saying? Well there is a balance in everything.. We cannot not let the most important things slide because we are too busy doing what we think is a good thing.. Nothing will ever be better or mean more to God than us just spending time with Him.. This has to be first..

Is that not the most amazing blessing? Think about that for a minute .. Let that thought rule in your heart.. We get to really know God!

I'm sure that later when Martha was looking back at the situation, she wondered how much she had missed out on by not getting to spend as much time just sitting with Jesus... letting him talk to her and bless her, I wondered if she had wished she wouldn't have worked so hard,
I wonder if she realized how unimportant it was to have everything so perfect…
I wonder how long she stayed angry with her sister.. Allowing strife into her life..

God has never called us to be perfect in our actions and deeds.. he is so gracious and merciful, he just calls us to love him, to choose him and to put him first in all things!

God redeems the time, when we spend time with God suddenly everything else we have to do becomes an easier yoke, our burden becomes lighter because God can take care of those things for us and cause us to get more done in less time.. There's an efficiency in things when we spend time with God first because we've prioritized our time …Our day can go much smoother when we we've soaked first and foremost in the precious presence of Jesus

God bless you all!!

Matthew 6:33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.

I said in my heart, "God shall judge the righteous and the wicked, For there is a time there for every purpose and for every work."Ecclesiastes 3: 17(NKJV)

John 15:15
I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

Answered Prayer By Nina Keegan

There is a new way to pray...

I have been thinking a lot about prayer. I believe that God wants us to be bold in our prayers and take authority in him, through him and for him. Intercession is not trying to get God to do something... it's all about taking our authority that was bought for us by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus already died for us to have all things in Him!! IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS! We must die to self, die to the flesh.. We can NEVER earn salvation.. We can have peace freedom, divine health, financial security and household salvation by coming into an agreement with what the blood has already purchased for us.

We are not beggars, but believers! we must believe that Jesus did it all already!  We must stand in Christ because we are able to do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever ask or think according to the POWER that is at work in us (EPH 3:20)

We must believe  in order to receive and if we doubt, we will do without.. we must thank Jesus that He willingly and painstakingly took care of all of our sins AND ALL OF OUR NEEDS and that it's the goodness of God that leads men to repentance (Romans 2:4) not by our own works.. We don't get good to get God, we get God to get good!

Jesus is the only sacrificial lamb ..he is the Lamb of God that took away our sins and the sins of the world forever! We don't have to add to this we don't have to strive for salvation..  There is no godly recipe, holy protocol, or check point list, that defines our salvation or how we get to live our lives in the ultimate flow of blessings. We can merely seek him.. JESUS... ask Jesus into our hearts make him our Lord and Savior and receive the mercy, grace, peace, and salvation that is ALREADY ours through the precious blood of the lamb that was slain.

2 Cor 5:19
Says that we have been reconciled unto God; made friendly and brought back into harmony through the death of Jesus Christ... don't try to make your actions take the place of what Jesus has already done..do not take this upon yourself, there has been an atonement made!  Exercise your authority in Jesus and receive that which he has already died and paid for in blood for you to have!

Pray in agreement with God.. say, "thank you Father that your spirit is moving in this land, I thank you Father that your spirit is moving in my family and on behalf of all of our needs!  I thank you that you go before us as our source of all things!  We praise you father that we overcome evil with good.. And that we love because you have first loved us, thank you for sending your precious Son Jesus to take care of all of our needs, to cleanse us and set us free from sin and death. We thank you Father  that you will pour out your spirit upon us all and fill us with all hope and glory through the blood of Jesus Christ we thank you… In Jesus name we pray! Amen

Get into an agreement with God, declare his will for your life.. line up your requests with God's word and trust him! Declare it for yourself!  Then rest knowing that our yoke is easy and our burden is light... God is eager to bless you.. He sent his Son to prove his love while we were yet sinners... his mercies are new every day ..receive this for your life and for your loved ones, trust that God is at work..
Trust that He has heard your prayer knowing that we can have what the Bible says is already ours by just "amen-ing" God and agreeing with his word! DECLARE IT!

Amen: An Endorsement of Praise or Prayer

“Amen,” in both Testaments, could be employed as an affirmation of endorsement as a concluding pronouncement in connection with either praise or prayer. Note Psalm 41:13. “Blessed be Jehovah, the God of Israel, From everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen” (see also: Rom. 11:36).

There is a little island 60 miles off the coast of Honduras..Roatan,  It's a beautiful Island that I have been blessed to have visited many times.
There is a small key that is a short boat ride from Roatan called lil French Key.
This tiny island is guarded by a great reef and is surrounded by the most turquoise of water.
The tiny key is home to a small zoo.

The owners of the zoo have rescued hurt and abused animals from circuses, abusive owners around the world. And have made a sanctuary for them on this beautiful Iskand key where they are loved and greatly cared for.

One of my favorites is a lion named Charlie. Charlie does not know He is a lion. Gentile as a house cat, sweet as a puppy. Before finding his way to the zoo he was declawed, Had just a few teeth left and  was so scrawny and full of mange that he barely resembled "a king of the jungle," He was as good as dead!

His whole life has been spent in captivity . He has no idea of the life a wild lion lives. If He were to be set free now, he would parish. He would not be able to defend himself because he was never allowed to be who he was meant to be. He lives a life defined by the size of his cage.

How many of us have out grown our cages and are not living the lives we were born to live? Do you feel trapped like there is a whole world out there and you are missing out? This is what I like to call a holy discontent. Might this be the Holy Spirit prompting you to step out and live your life on purpose for Christ?

Jesus came to set the captives free.

What's keeping you confined from living your best life? What is paralyzing you from stepping outside of the four walls our your comfort zone? Is it a fear of failure or of the unknown? Perhaps it's an overflow of self -disqualification.

The longer we stay in the confinement of the strong holds that hold us back, the more we will become a limited and bound creature of habit. A victim of the status -quo. The enemy comes to steal kill and destroy.

He steals our strength, joy, peace and our future, he destroys our confidence and robs us of the victorious, supernatural life that God's word says we should be living!

Let God take you to it and ultimately through it. Jesus came that we would have power, love and a sound mind.

We are called to be fearless warriors and  mighty ambassadors for Christ.
Make a decision today to go back and investigate the secret desire of your heart, that seemingly intangible thing you shelved long ago. Those very things you cast aside as utter impossibilities. Nothing is impossible through Christ who enables, stretches, strengthens, and qualifies. Look fear in the eye, interrogate it, fight the good fight of faith. Your best life awaits!

Be determined to step out in faith today!!
Your victory rests in God alone not your own abilities. He's got you and he will never let the righteous fall!
