FIND REST IN HIM by Nina Keegan

REST IN HIM!

God wants us to live a balanced life… For many of us that seems like something very hard to accomplish and achieve. It seems as though many of us are juggling so many balls in the air at the same time and wearing too many hats.. It is hard to find time to just relax, rest and be in the presence of God. Yet it is only in that place, the quiet place, where we can sit, rest, and focus on the One who has the ability to restore us, to energize us… order our steps, and redeem the time.. will we be restored.

Is your life balanced?

Solomon 1:6

They have made me a keeper of vineyards but my own vineyard I have not kept.

What are the areas in your life that have been let go, that have been unkept, because you are too busy taking care of everyone and everything else? Are you always on the go and constantly working— never taking time for yourself, never spending enough time just resting in the presence of the Lord?

The enemy comes to ware out the Saints… If he can distract us with the constant issues of life, we can get off track, exhausted, worn out… and then it’s hard to hear from God… It’s hard to be used of God. We must seek time with the Lord so that He can minister to us...so that we can be filled up, refreshed, energized and equipped and able to minister to others.

God wants us to enjoy life and not to constantly feel exhausted and overwhelmed ..that is not God’s intention. Living a balanced life will bring peace, joy, rest, and abundant health.

The person speaking in the above scripture in song of Solomon was good at taking care of everyone else— but at what expense? Does it sound familiar that the overwhelming task of taking care of family, friends, and the constant to-do list at work and at home would bring us to a place of exhaustion where we are incapable of fulfilling our purpose in Christ?

He was surely neglecting to take care of himself. Are you feeling like that today? Are you running yourself ragged and not taking any time for yourself to just sit and be with the Lord? The enemie’s plans are to eventually burn you out. We must decide to seek God first each and every day and to begin investing in ourselves… Time with Jesus! When we put Him first, He will redeem the time and give us an anointing to do all the other things on our to-do lists with ease… Remember Jesus died for our yoke to be easy and our burdens to be light..

But when we don’t take time to hand our burdens off to the Lord, how can he make light of them?

Each of us must make a decision to begin investing in ourselves so that we are fully refreshed and ready to invest and minister to others around us… We must trust the Lord to rejuvenate us and refresh us emotionally, spiritually, and physically.… When we do this we will begin to affect others positively because we will have balance in our lives. We will begin to have a new joy because that time with the Lord will strengthen us.

We must remember that apart from God we can do nothing ..but we can certainly do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Phil 4:13

When we seek him with our whole hearts we will certainly find him...Jer 29:13

The Bible says in Psalm 84:11

that the Lord bestows favor and honor, no good thing will he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

This is an awesome promise that God wants to pour out his abundant blessings on us .. he has abundant victory and favor ready for us...and when we seek him first, he will surely give it to us! Then, we will be fortified and ready for all that the day will bring us. We must live favor minded… And we must live with expectancy, expect to hear from God, expect him to bless you, expect him to order your steps, expect him to highly favor you, expect him to give you rest, expect him to restore you, and bless you. When we stay in the word and stay in the presence of God, the more favor we will begin to see.

Begin to declare God‘s peace and victory over your life, spend time with Him, seek him, know him, and know his Word...then let God order your steps as you walk in the spirit, refreshed, and ready for all that God has in store for you.

And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.

~Exodus 33:14

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.

~Psalm 3:5

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psalm 46:10)

declared it holy, because it was the day when He rested from all His work of creation.

~Genesis 2:3

Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God.

~Exodus 20:8-10

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him.

~Psalm 37:7

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

~Psalm 62:1-2

STAND IN VICTORY by Nina Keegan

STAND IN CHRIST .. HE’S GOT YOU... HE HEARS YOU!

Psalm 34:11-19
Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord. Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, his ears are open to their cries for help. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil, he will erase their memory from the earth. The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues
Them from all their troubles. The Lord is so close to the brokenhearted, he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles but the Lord comes to rescue each time.

I love this scripture about how God will hear us,he will rescue us in times of trouble… We need to stand strong during times of adversity. We need to put on the full armor, and fight the good fight of faith!

Eph 6:13
Put on the full armor of God, so that WHEN the day of evil comes, you’ll be able to stand your ground!

My friends it’s not an “if” trouble comes ..but when..

We live in a fallen world, we all face challenges every day we live in difficult times. God doesn’t send us these storms, but it’s in these times of difficulty that we can grow in the absolute assurance of the faithfulness of the Lord.. and through tribulation... we lean in, we press into the heart of God. We become so much stronger in our walk with God. When trouble comes… We must take these opportunities to allow God’s living word to come alive in our lives… Speaking God’s words over our circumstance can see us through to victory!

We won’t get anywhere by running from everything that’s hard in our lives, we also can’t expect God to deliver us all immediately from everything that is difficult or painful. God uses these challenges in our lives to stretch our faith, to enlarge our vision, and to keep us focused on him and fully relying on him…
Apart from him we can do nothing. Sometimes it takes our weakest moments in life to fully realize that!

Many people are status quo in their walks with God until adversity hits their lives… Do you remain faithful to the Lord in your times of trouble and adversity? Or do you blame God ? We must make our minds up to serve God no matter what comes against us… We must trust him at all times, we must lean not on our own understanding, we must be anxious for nothing, we must fight the good fight of faith and remember that God does not
waste anything that we go through in life. God promises to use all things for good… All things… Not some... but all…

We are continually growing, we are continually maturing, and we are continually being prepared for promotion. We all have a purpose to be used as God’s ambassadors here on earth.

How can we feel compassion towards others if we have not felt the compassion of the Lord in our difficult times? How can we testify to the goodness of the Lord and how he is close to the brokenhearted and how he saves those who are crushed in spirit, if in fact we’ve never been crushed in spirit?
God is no respecter of persons..
What he does for one,he can do for any one of us… That’s why your testimony means so much. We are to testify as to the goodness of God, his mercy, his grace, his love, his tenderness, his deliverance, his favor, his guidance… We can all be living examples of how God can transform a life… Nothing is ever wasted… Nothing!
In due season, in God’s appointed time, he will promote you, rescue you, take you to new levels of victory, and you will get to live the peaceful, joyous life that he has promised you… Keep declaring these words, keep believing for God‘s best for your life and the lives of your loved ones… No matter what it looks like, God‘s word is true… God always watches over his word to perform it.

As like it says in the above scripture... God does watch over us ,God does listen, God does hear our cries, and God does help and he rescues us… But if you don’t know that he will do these things by reading and knowing the word, then how do you know what to declare..?
Know and understand for yourself the truth of Gods word!

Gods words bring life and victory!!!!

Psalm 35:3
Lift up your spear and javelin against those who pursue me. Let me hear you say, “I will give you victory!”

1 Cor 10-13 13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

John 16:33
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Trials and Temptations
James 1
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. 9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. 10 But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.11 For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich will fade away even while they go about their business. 12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
