IN JESUS NAME BY Nina Keegan

IN JESUS NAME...
John 16:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus speaking...

23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (A fullness of joy)

Jesus is our mediator, intercessor, advocate and our Lord...he stands between us and the Father. And no place in the Bible is it recorded that Jesus told his disciples to pray to him. They were always to pray to the Father in his name. If we wish to be sure of reaching the throne, we must come according to the rules laid down in the word of God.

Notice that Jesus said, in that day you will ask me nothing… Jesus said this just before he went away.

Another translation reads, in that day you should not pray to me… Jesus said to ask the Father in his name.. there is no other way to pray. We can always tell Jesus how much we love and appreciate him, but when it comes to praying and asking we must ask the Father through the Lord Jesus.

We also must ask and believe that we shall receive and because of that our joy will be made full and complete... We must maintain joy even before we see the prayers being answered, even before the manifestation comes. Pray with a heart full of knowing that God has heard you, that you came to him with the power of his Son’s  name… Remain in the Joy and complete faith of knowing that you have been heard!

In Eph 5:20
It says… Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father  in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul is telling us that it is to the Father and not to Jesus that we give thanks... the name of Jesus is the access to the heart of the Father. When you desire to get an answer, follow the teachings of the word, pray to the Father in the name of Jesus!

Thank God, Jesus has a standing in heaven. He is the only approach to the Father. Let us use the mighty name of Jesus that He has given us
He gave us the full power of attorney to use his name!

Jesus said, “in my name shall they( believers), cast out devils…mark16:17
We have a right to use that name against the devil. We have the right to use that name to call out demons that bind our souls!

Jesus is the key.. we must look at it from that standpoint… We are never going to cast out any demons and we are never going to heal any people… But Jesus gave us the key to do it ..Jesus is the very key .. we are just a vessel and the conduit ..apart from Jesus we can do nothing!

Our spirits need to be educated and trained, we must meditate on the word of God and know what is available to us, just because we read the word of God is no sign that our spirit actually has received it…
Just because we read the Bible doesn’t mean we always understand it… The Bible says to ask for wisdom and with all wisdom, get understanding..
We must ask God for revelation that we may understand and have his word etched in our hearts..

Meditate on the Scriptures...

The name of Jesus belongs to all of us! That name has authority on earth, you have a right as a born again believer to use that name. If the devil can hold you in the thought arena of all things negative, then he will whip you! But if you hold him in the arena of faith, never wavering, then he is the victim… We must fight the good fight of faith!
When we understand and know the power we have when we approach the throne room of God in the name of Jesus… Then there is no demon in hell that we should ever fear!

Peter said,
1 Peter 5:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

We must all believe in our hearts, and in our spirit, that the word of God is absolutely true, and it is true for us!

The devil will always try to fight you especially in your thoughts, he’ll try to tell you that what you have just prayed will never come to pass, but you need to act from your innermost being, from your heart, from your spirit.
Jesus said; whoever shall say… And not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he should have whatever he says  Mark11:23-24

When we learn to pray and to stand believing in the power of fervent prayer and when we pray in alignment with what the word of God says, our prayers will be powerful and effective!

Jesus has ascended up on high, he is seated at the right hand of the Father… He is now our mediator, our intercessor, our advocate in our Lord! He stands between us and the Father..
Today is the day of the new covenant… We must believe that when we pray, if there are  no “ifs, ands,or buts” in the scripture, then we should not say those words either we should stand on the scripture and what it says.... STAND! Believe!

And we must stay in complete JOY while we’re waiting for the miracle.. while we’re waiting for the answers… let no thought that comes against the prayer you prayed enter your mind… We must take every thought captive and believe only on the word of God ..not on our feelings...
WE WILL NOT BE MOVED!!

Believe it!!!
