FREEDOM by Nina Keegan

Psalm 124:7-8
Praise the Lord who did not let their teeth tear us apart! We escaped like a bird from a hunters trap. The trap is broken, and we are free! Our help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

Do you ever feel trapped by overwhelming odds?  With God, there is always a way out because He is the creator of all that exists. There is no problem that is beyond God's ability to solve; there is no circumstance that is too difficult for God. We can always turn to our loving Creator for help in our times of trouble, in our times of need, for  He is always on our side. God will always provide a way out..we just need to trust him and look for it!

 David compared this to being like a bird that is able to escape from a hunters trap...

There is always a way out… We must look at things from God's perspective and not our own!
If he said that he will always give us a way out… Then let's look for the exit door that God's got for us… Let's ask for his strategies and plans and for God to show us what we need to know and to give us strength to do all we need to do to be delivered from the lies, tricks, schemes, strongholds, and bondages of the enemy! 

"Sin does not get to tell us what to do...
We get to tell sin what to do!"

We have the authority… and because we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength…(Phil 4:13) Then we are not fighting it in our own might in the first place! Apart from God we can do nothing… It is our faith, it is knowing who we are in Christ, and walking in the power that we have as believers that gives us complete authority to tell sin what to do!!

1 Cor 15:57
But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ

God has given us the power through the Holy Spirit to be able to cleanse ourselves… But first we must recognize that we need cleansing...

2 Cor 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

God would not tell us to cleanse ourselves if we were not able to do so… When we confess our sins to one another we are taking our sins out of the secrets that are hidden in the darkness and bringing them into God's marvelous light…

The enemy loves secrets… When we expose him and his tactics and plans, we bring them under the light of Jesus to be covered by the powerful blood he shed for us on the cross…!

One drop of the blood of Jesus has the power to conquer any sin, any temptation, and any scheme of the enemy to keep us in bondage!

Jesus came to set the captives free… There's so much power in that name… Just know whatever has been a stronghold and a struggle in your life has to get under the authority and the power of the blood of Jesus!  When you command it to do so, it must go!  You have the authority!

Repent and turn away from your sins… Remember sin does not have power over you… It does not get to tell you what to do… You get to tell it what to do!!!

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." ~ Isaiah 41:10

2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
12 “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything.

John 16:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus speaking...

23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (A fullness of joy) 

Jesus is our mediator, intercessor, advocate and our Lord...he stands between us and the Father. And no place in the Bible is it recorded that Jesus told his disciples to pray to him. They were always to pray to the Father in his name. If we wish to be sure of reaching the throne, we must come according to the rules laid down in the word of God.

Notice that Jesus said, in that day you will ask me nothing… Jesus said this just before he went away.

Another translation reads, in that day you should not pray to me… Jesus said to ask the Father in his name.. there is no other way to pray. We can always tell Jesus how much we love and appreciate him, but when it comes to praying and asking we must ask the Father through the Lord Jesus.

We also must ask and believe that we shall receive and because of that our joy will be made full and complete... We must maintain joy even before we see the prayers being answered, even before the manifestation comes. Pray with a heart full of knowing that God has heard you, that you came to him with the power of his Son’s  name… Remain in the Joy and complete faith of knowing that you have been heard! 

In Eph 5:20
It says… Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father  in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Paul is telling us that it is to the Father and not to Jesus that we give thanks... the name of Jesus is the access to the heart of the Father. When you desire to get an answer, follow the teachings of the word, pray to the Father in the name of Jesus!

Thank God, Jesus has a standing in heaven. He is the only approach to the Father. Let us use the mighty name of Jesus that He has given us
 He gave us the full power of attorney to use his name!

Jesus said, “in my name shall they( believers), cast out devils…mark16:17
We have a right to use that name against the devil. We have the right to use that name to call out demons that bind our souls!

 Jesus is the key.. we must look at it from that standpoint… We are never going to cast out any demons and we are never going to heal any people… But Jesus gave us the key to do it ..Jesus is the very key .. we are just a vessel and the conduit ..apart from Jesus we can do nothing!

Our spirits need to be educated and trained, we must meditate on the word of God and know what is available to us, just because we read the word of God is no sign that our spirit actually has received it…
Just because we read the Bible doesn’t mean we always understand it… The Bible says to ask for wisdom and with all wisdom, get understanding..
We must ask God for revelation that we may understand and have his word etched in our hearts..

Meditate on the Scriptures...

The name of Jesus belongs to all of us! That name has authority on earth, you have a right as a born again believer to use that name. If the devil can hold you in the thought arena of all things negative, then he will whip you! But if you hold him in the arena of faith, never wavering, then he is the victim… We must fight the good fight of faith!
When we understand and know the power we have when we approach the throne room of God in the name of Jesus… Then there is no demon in hell that we should ever fear!

Peter said, 
1 Peter 5:8-9 New International Version (NIV)
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

We must all believe in our hearts, and in our spirit, that the word of God is absolutely true, and it is true for us!

The devil will always try to fight you especially in your thoughts, he’ll try to tell you that what you have just prayed will never come to pass, but you need to act from your innermost being, from your heart, from your spirit. 
Jesus said; whoever shall say… And not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he should have whatever he says  Mark11:23-24

When we learn to pray and to stand believing in the power of fervent prayer and when we pray in alignment with what the word of God says, our prayers will be powerful and effective!

Jesus has ascended up on high, he is seated at the right hand of the Father… He is now our mediator, our intercessor, our advocate in our Lord! He stands between us and the Father..
Today is the day of the new covenant… We must believe that when we pray, if there are  no “ifs, ands,or buts” in the scripture, then we should not say those words either we should stand on the scripture and what it says.... STAND! Believe! 

And we must stay in complete JOY while we’re waiting for the miracle.. while we’re waiting for the answers… let no thought that comes against the prayer you prayed enter your mind… We must take every thought captive and believe only on the word of God ..not on our feelings...

Believe it!!!

Let not your heart be troubled by Nina Keegan


Psalm 26:2
Test me, LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;

 If you do not let your heart be examined by the Lord, then how will you know where are you have let in a bitter root or a hardness of heart towards the thing of God ? When the Lord comes with a blessing or a correction,  or gentle conviction,  if you do not make it a steppingstone, then you are ultimately receiving the grace of God in vain.
 People could be established far greater in the Lord and be more wonderfully at peace if they would move to know more.. we must know God! HE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HIM...push through.. and meditate on  the enormous grace of the Lord! The Lord gently convicts because he wants us to draw closer to him by abandoning the things that are hardening our hearts ..when we lay those things down, we essentially clear the pathway for God to move in our lives. When you are in prayer, remember how near you are to the Lord... this is a time of communication with the Lord and he is ready to hear us 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 
This is the time that God wants you to change from your insufficient strength to his overflowing and abundant strength and he wants you to remember that he is always, always with you.

Every day we must try to take higher ground and draw nearer to Him!  We must be so determined to stay so closely rooted in Christ. We must deny ourselves those things of the world that are holding us back. Refuse everything that is not pure and holy. God wants us to be pure in heart, he wants our intense desire to seek holiness..

There is always a blessing where there is harmony… The Bible says to be “one accord” I believe this to be the keynote of the victory that is going to come to us all when we remain in a place of peace and rest.

Where there is strife there is every kind of evil, we must remember this, you never lose so much as when you lose your peace!
When we lose our peace  we can focus on nothing else… The enemy loves to steal, kill, and destroy and peace is what he seeks to destroy the most..
When he steals peace;  he causes families to crumble, relationships to disintegrate, and governments to be at war!
All victories are won in battles… There is no peace in the battle… But peace comes when the battle has been won!

Jesus has already won the battle!!!!
We must desire and follow God so closely,  the way into all of the treasures of God’s omnipotent portal is through the living word of God… It’s seeking peace, it’s ridding ourselves of the things that are hardening our hearts towards the things of God..

God will help you find a way out call on him, repent, and turn away, ask him to show you any bitter root that’s been blocking your blessings and stealing your peace… Some people become so addicted to drama and chaos that they don’t even know they’re missing out on peace… We must reach a standard where we hate sin...
And when we get to that place.. victory is right there… It’s right in reach!!!
 It is God’s divine plan, and  divine will that we should all live in the world and be triumphant over it… So the lust of the flesh and the pride of life will never control us, only when we become more godlike and holy 
do we become more real, more alive .. 

Be not afraid to ask God to show you all things and to give you revelation as to where you have gotten off track…because God is on the throne waiting to answer you ...he is waiting  on you ..he is waiting for you to call on him and to seek Him first!!

I pray that not one of you would lose the divine inheritance that God has chosen for you.. it is far greater than anything you could ever choose for yourself… It is worth the world to be under the power of the Holy Spirit,set free and at peace and trusting God with all things…

It’s time to be set free, it is not about what we are now, it is about what God has designed for us… The best is yet to come!
We will see the goodness of the Lord here in the land of the living!
Ephesians 4:18 

They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.

Matthew 13:14-15 

Indeed, in their case the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: “‘You will indeed hear but never understand, and you will indeed see but never perceive. For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.’

Stay Strong In The Word by Nina Keegan


The most deadly medicine, I believe,  is a watered-down gospel—because the tragic results are eternal.

Jesus says there will be two groups of people in the end times. One group  Jesus calls few, the other He calls many. “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? … and done many wonders?’ ... And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ ” (Matthew 7:22, 23).

Evidently, the majority of Christ’s professed followers are self-deceived.  This is a very frightening truth…They know His name, their religious activities SEEM  to have the marks of genuine ministry, but Jesus, with a broken heart, will declare to them, “I don’t know you.” Why? Because they live a compromised life full of sin without repentance, maintaining that their sin is no longer sin because the Bible was written so long ago.., and they consequently change the gospel to fit their own agendas..

Hebrews 2 :1-4 so we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. The message that was delivered  by the angels has always proved true, and the people were punished for every violation of the law in every act of disobedience. What makes us think that we can escape if we are indifferent to this great salvation that was announced by the Lord Jesus himself? It was passed on to us by those who heard him speak, and God verified the message by signs and wonders and various miracles and by giving gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose to do so.

This is a warning against drifting away… I feel that evil is so rampant in the world and  many people and  leaders in ministry need to stay so strong and so steadfast in the WORD.. the TRUTH!
 We cannot stray from the exact truth of the Bible… We cannot blur the line in the sand, what we say may not always be popular… We are all going to give an account on judgment day for the things we did but also the things we didn’t do… 
 By saying nothing , We say everything !!!!
  By softening the gospel and changing the words to fit today’s narratives, people could fall away..
A watered down and changed gospel to fit these immoral times  is an ultimate pit of destruction in the making… We cannot be willing to take this risk!
Persecution for Christians is certain, but we cannot be afraid of this… The Bible says when you see these things look up where does our help come from..?

Matthew 24:33
In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door.

It’s time to stand strong it’s time to put on your full armor and advance the kingdom of God!

Hebrews 4:1-4 God’s promise of entering his place of rest still stands, we are to tremble with fear that some might fail to get there. For this is good news – that God has prepared a place of rest - it has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t believe what God told them. For only believers can enter his place of rest. As for those who didn’t believe, God said, “In my anger I made a vow, “they will never enter my place of rest.”

Today you must listen to his voice. Don’t harden your hearts
Against Him... Hebrews 4:7

God would not have spoken about another day of rest if it wasn’t true, so there is a special day of rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who enter into God’s rest will find rest from the laborers, just as God rested after creating the world.. let us do our best to enter the place of rest. The Word is Living Power,  it is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep, it exposes us. Nothing in all creation can hide from God, everything is exposed before his eyes.

That is why we have a savior, Jesus, the son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. This high priest of ours understands our weaknesses for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet did not sin.  So let us come boldly to the throne of grace. There we will receive his mercy and find grace to help us when we need it.
We should all have confidence that God has created us for greater things… It is not his will for anyone to perish… We should stick so close to the word and know it for ourselves as to not be fooled,  or led astray that we might fall victim to the lies that go against the gospel of Jesus Christ!
There is only one way to heaven… Just one way!!!!
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:5-6

The Narrow and Wide Gates

Take your Authority Back by Nina Keegan

 It is only natural for us to encounter others we may not get along with, and those we may consider to be "enemies." It is very important for us however, to remember that they are also just humans too. Remember that our number one enemy is satan. He takes form in many ways, and is spreading evil all over the world today- we cannot let him lead us into temptation to commit sins, or be filled with fear and unforgiveness! We must forgive and bless each other, and turn to God to strengthen our will against all evil.

The power and authority of the Name of JESUS rightfully belongs to us all as born-again Christians, and He expects us to use it! Before Jesus ascended to be seated at the right hand of the Father, He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” Matthew 28:18, He has the authority!

What did He do with it? He assigned it to us when He said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15, 17-18, NKJV).
Jesus himself was tempted with evil and by the enemy… Here is his example that we can follow… 
Remember as Jesus is,so are we in the world!
1John 4:17

Matthew 4:11
After being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights in the Judaean Desert. During this time, Satan appeared to Jesus and tried to tempt him. Jesus having REFUSED each temptation, Satan THEN departed and Jesus returned to Galilee to BEGIN his ministry.

We all know that Satan is pure evil… We know that he tries to wreak havoc into our lives by trying to thwart the plans that God has for us. Notice that Jesus’ ministry only began after he had the tools he needed to overcome satan... WE HAVE THOSE SAME TOOLS OF AUTHORITY!
And I believe for many of you that the enemies schemes are trying to hold you back from all that God wants you to do!  

 I just want to remind you all that the enemy does NOT have an endless bag of tricks… !

 He is not creative and he will continually try to use the same old tricks and lies time and time again… The key is they only work when we believe them!!

The above Scripture shows that satan harshly tempted Jesus, but it also says that Jesus rejected every temptation... And I am sure that the enemy had his deck stacked ,he probably brought out his absolute best  trying to bring down Jesus… But when he finally ran out and was unsuccessful… Only then…
did he depart!!! 

  If Jesus had fallen victim to satan’s lies, and if satans plans were working… He never would’ve left Jesus alone... that’s what he does,  he over stays and he over plays his hand... he would’ve stayed as long as his onslaught of fiery darts was working.

  But the Bible says we can resist him at the onset… We don’t have to wait around for him to keep reaching into his  bag to pull out the next lie he wants to spew in our ear…

We have complete and total authority over every plan and scheme over the enemy… Your victory has already been bought and paid for on the cross… It’s time to remember who you are and whose you are!! 

You are a child of the most high God!! You are an heir to the throne! You are a blood bought believer and you are seated at the right hand of the Father next to Jesus… And from there, from that beautiful seat… You can look down and rule and reign in life…and  know that the enemy is a footstool under your feet! 
If God is for you, who can dare be against you? The Bible says that no weapon formed against you can ever prosper!

We must be preemptive to the strikes of the enemy… The first rule of any war is to know your enemy… When we know his tactics, the same old song and dance routine... we can be prepared in advance for them… By knowing the word of God, you have all the power to speak over these assaults and cause them to be canceled and reversed in the name of Jesus..
Put on your full armor… You have complete protection against these assaults… And when the enemy knows that your armor is on and that you are boldly speaking the Word and declaring the name of Jesus… He will be running scared!!!! 

God inhabits the praises of his people… Let his praises  continually be on your lips… We cannot worry and worship at the same time… And the enemy hates when we worship!!!

It’s time to fight the good fight of faith and stay prepared for the battle… And when we do all that we know to do… That’s when God steps in! BE STILL! 

Exodus 14:14
The LORD himself will fight for you. You won't have to lift a finger in your defense!"

The Bible says when the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise a standard against him… Isaiah 59:15

  So why Would we let the enemy mess with us one more day… ? It’s time to receive the comfort God has for the brokenhearted, it’s time for the captives to be released and the prisoners to be set free!  
 Isaiah 61 says 
The time of the Lord‘s favor has come and with it, God’s  anger against our enemies.. he will give us beauty for ashes and praise instead of despair!

James 4

Things to Avoid

      1What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? 2You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? 6But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, “GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.” 7Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Be miserable and mourn and weep; let your laughter be turned into mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

John 8:44 there is no truth in him for he is the father of lies( speaking of satan)

Now the wife of one of the sons of the prophets cried to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lordbut the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”And Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?” And she said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.” Then he said, “Go outside, borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels and not too few.Then go in and shut the door behind yourself and your sons and pour into all these vessels. And when one is full, set it aside.” So she went from him and shut the door behind herself and her sons. And as she poured they brought the vessels to her. When the vessels were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another.” Then the oil stopped flowing.She came and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on the rest.”

How many times do we discount what God has already given us..? In this story,  this woman was so fearful that her sons would be taken away to pay her debt… She was already in a panic as you can imagine because she just lost her husband and now was thinking she would also lose her sons.…
What’s interesting to me is that Elisha asked two questions in a row… He first asked, “what shall I do for you? “ Followed immediately by, “Tell me what you have in your house?”...He did not even give her a chance to answer the first question when he was on to the next… 
My guess is he did not want to hear her complain and proclaim her whole story about what she didn’t have  deepening her fears..but he immediately wanted to switch the focus on what she did have! 
The more we proclaim our deficits… The more real they become!
But what’s interesting to me, was her reply… She said she had nothing…” Nothing, except a small jar of oil… “ 
What was about to become a huge blessing in her life she considered to be nothing.

God can always work with what we already have when we are grateful for what we already have!
How many of us overlook the blessing that is right in our hands? God has not stopped being a God of miracles… Your miracle is in your hands… God can work with what you already have… he’s the one who gave you what you already have in the first place! He just want you to realize what you already have!
 It does not always have to be something materialistic..
How many of us discount our abilities..? We declare  the fact that we may not have the qualifications,, The education… The people skills, … Do you think God doesn’t know your resume? God wants us to be blessed, he wants us to see ourselves in the image of his Son! God can and will use what we already have and can bless us mightily when we stop declaring that we have nothing…
I was with A  friend the other day that I have not seen in q while… When I asked how she was doing, it seemed like a bevy of complaints rolled out about all of the things that were wrong in her life… I am not discounting the difficult  things that people go through… But I paused after a  while and I said ..”Is anything going right with you?” You are sitting here now..you are healthy… You woke up today…”I told her that everyone goes through difficulties in life but our attitude during these trials will determine how quickly we get through them…
 God’s mercies are new every day, but we have to turn around what we are declaring over our own lives. Before long we can become cynical and jaded if we are not careful with our words and declarations… From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks! We never want to have a hardness of heart towards the Lord… Let’s declare our blessings, let’s not listen to the chatter of defeat… Let’s stop looking over the fence at what the neighbors have.
Sometimes  We gaze at other peoples lives through social media and think they have the perfect life… We may not get to see the fight that happened right before the beautiful family photo was taken…

Are we appropriating the blessings that God has given us… ? God has given us a plan of redemption and has made a way for us to spend eternity with him… He says he will supply all of our needs according to his glorious riches in heaven… We need to stop deeming ourselves unworthy… God loves you! God has a wonderful plan for your life… He ihas given you unique tools, qualifications and assets… Characteristics that no one else in the world has… You were designed for a unique purpose in Him ..Let’s think about what we  do have..?
Write down those things about yourself that are good… And trust me when you think about it there is a lot of good… I don’t mean for you to write things down in an arrogant way… Apart from God we can do nothing anyway but think about what is your gift..?
Are you a people person?… Do you love children?… Are you good with finances?… Are you a good motivator?… Are you a prayer warrior?… The list could go go on and on!!!  When you have your list, pray over it and ask God to give you wisdom over your next steps to take… Ask him to bless and multiply what you already have!!!
What do you have?… God wants to use you powerfully and mightily.. let’s stop declaring we have nothing… Let’s  Let God fill our vessels up with a powerful , overflowing oil which represents the Holy Spirit .. let it overflow until we no longer have the capacity to contain it… God is an abundant God and he will do exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever ask or think! Eph 3:20
Let’s Turn our thinking around, let’s let God multiply and bless what he has already given us!
Deliverance belongs to you,! I pray God delivers us from a limited mentality that keeps us from moving forward in our call to serve him.

I pray for For each and every one  of you right now to be highly favored, to walk transformed in the blessings and callings he has for you… May God highly favor you and order every step you take and give you wisdom and direction , peace and joy! … Declare this is the day that you take steps forward with what God has already given you… We all have our unique something… And God wants to use you!!

When the Battle Chooses You.. by Nina Keegan

Over and over again in life we hear this statement… “Choose your battles”… “Pick your battles”…

I remember when I was raising my boys, so many times I would walk in their rooms and have to turn around and just close the door… Boys having messy rooms was not going to be a continuous battle I was going to fight… I felt I had to choose which battles  I was going to fight.. more important battles than a messy room I felt were, “Are they walking with the Lord?  How are their grades? Are they respecting authority?”
 Them staying away from drugs and alcohol was a battle during their young adult years that I was adamant about.

“Pick your battles! Pick your battles!” 



Picking which battles to fight is not always our choice… Many times the Battle picks us..

Getting a late night call that your child has been in an accident, perhaps a bad doctors report, perhaps losing a job..perhaps losing a loved one..

These are battles we did not choose… But yet they are still ones we have to fight from time to time…

One thing I think is very important is to ALWAYS be prayed up, armor on and battle ready… Too often people only start praying in the midst of their trials… They turn to God in the trial in hopes of a way out…

The Bible tells us to put on the full armor of God so that we are always ready for whatever may come our way; so we are fully armed with the WORD of God deep in our hearts and souls… We can pray a hedge protection around us and our loved ones that is so huge that the enemy complains about it.

Job 1:10 ESV 

Have you not put a hedge around him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.

I wonder sometimes if we are always dressed in our full armor or if it’s just a costume..?

 This is something we must answer for ourselves… 

One thing is for certain is that our armor after living some life, can become quite beaten up, dented, and resemble a battle worn ensemble fit for any military General! 

This armor ultimately protects us… It bears the brunt of pain, quenches the fiery darts and protects us…

The word of God is our offensive weapon… It is the double edge sword… It is what leads us through all battles… It is what brings us out the other side stronger, more confident and victorious .. through these battles we will undoubtedly fully comprehend who our heavenly
Father is!

Any military has a preemptive plan… They study and know the enemy, they understand the plot and the schemes.., We too must be preemptive… It’s not an “if the battles and trials are coming, it’s when.” We must stay prayed up with our full armor on knowing that no matter what comes our way, our Almighty God will be there… We are never alone and He will never leave us or forsake us…

We do not have a choice sometimes in life, the world can happen to us… But the kingdom of heaven is always advancing and greater are we with who is in us than who is in the world!

No weapon formed against us can ever prosper and when we go through these tough times, I guarantee you that good will come from it… We will be stronger, more fortified, and strengthened in our knowledge and reliance on the Lord… We are resilient in Christ… We are victorious in Him… And the blood of Jesus is stronger than any battle… We are the majority in Christ!

When the enemy fell from heaven
He took 1/3 of the angels with him.. that means 2/3 of the angels are on our side!!!

As Jesus is so are we in the world...
   Jesus spoke saying, 
“Don’t you know that I could call on my Father in Heaven  and he would send legions of angels to rescue me right now”… 

We have that same power… But we need to know that we have that available to us!

We need to study the word of God for ourselves… It is our battle plan… We must be armed and ready… When the battle chooses you; you will have all you need in Christ to fight and win…

The joy of the Lord is our strength… He knows the great grievances and sufferings of his people… But he is our comforter, he is ever present help in times of trouble… And he loves us all with an everlasting love…!

If you are going through a battle that you did not choose… Please know that God chose you…
You were his before the  foundations of the earth began!

He’s got a plan, he’s got a strategy and it is always for good!

When you cannot possibly see an end to your suffering… Look at the eyes of Jesus and know that he has suffered the unthinkable because of his love for you… He knows where you are and he will love you through it all.. His perfect love cast out all fear and with one touch of his favor the tide of the battle will turn!!!

“The tide will turn in our favor!”

The phrase “The tide is turning” means:

1. reversal in a situation, 
2. new and opposite flow,
3. to assist in getting over or moving forward
4. to carry forward with new momentum
5. to surmount a difficulty, obstacle, etc..to survive.

Prophecy this word over yourself and those who need hope right now, “The tide is turning in “my” favor, the tide is turning in “YOUR” favor, the tide is turning in “our” favor!!!”

Stay strong and stay focused and keep your eyes on Jesus!
Never give up! God's on your side. He loves you, and He's helping you! You're going to make it! 

Put your hope in God and declare by faith, “The tide is turning in my favor!”

He is the author and the finisher of our faith!!

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day

The armor of God, found in Ephesians 6:10-18, is made up of the following six items:
the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit.

IT’S TIME TO LEAD by Nina Keegan

God is calling all leaders ..,
Are you just accepting certain situations because you don’t feel like you have a choice in the matter?

 Are most people actually just living their lives, existing, but not leading their lives because they don’t believe they have an option?

Nehemiah 2:17-18 New International Version (NIV)

17 Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace. 18 I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me.
They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work.

Nehemiah certainly had a decision to make when he was faced with the choice of accepting the situation at hand or changing it.. he made the decision to LEAD!!It is a choice… Leadership is always a decision to bring about change and to make a difference. Leadership is about making disciplined choices, choices that many times have a strong natural enemy of passivity. The enemy loves to freeze us in our decisions… Indecisiveness can paralyze us.. we become so afraid of making the wrong choice and the wrong decision that we do nothing…
Many people don’t want to “get involved”… Many people don’t want to put in the hard work they just want things to be status quo… But everything worth achieving is always uphill!

Walking downhill is the easy part it always takes less effort… We never want to be one of those people that just does enough to get by… If we want real change in our lives we have to put in the effort and it may be an uphill journey but hard work always pays off.

For Nehemiah, the wall and the work of God in Israel was worth a determined effort.. it was definitely going to be uphill.. but he was very determined to get up that hill and build that wall!!

No one else can build your wall… No one else can fulfill your destiny.. no one else was born with your purpose!

Let’s not be the one that sits in the boat all afraid… Let’s get out of that boat… Let’s let the Holy Spirit guide us into the yet unfinished and do those things that we know we are to do but they just seem to insurmountable to us…

 Remember if God put this purpose in your, life he will take you through it and by climbing that hill... We will become stronger and more resilient… We will have a sense of accomplishment and achievement and strength that will carry us through to victory.

I believe the Holy Spirit is calling all of us to lead… It’s time to make decisions that will make a difference… It’s time to do what we knew we were created to do!


We all could sit down right now and create a quite impressively long list of things that we need and want to change and we haven’t changed them because they’re all “uphill”. Through our time with God, let’s let him lead us and guide us and fuel us to go and make a difference and to be strengthened  for the changes we need to make in him!! God wants us to be the change… Not sit there and wish others would change things!!

Here is a quote that sums this all up by Theodore Roosevelt called “The man in the arena”

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
