CAN YOU HEAR GOD KNOCKING..? By Nina Keegan

GOD IS KNOCKING ON YOUR DOOR... WILL YOU ANSWER?

Can you hear God knocking on the door of your heart?

Revelation 3:20
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

The other day I was expecting someone to come to my house to do a repair for me.
You know how those things go.. you are given a four hour window and expected to wait at home for them to show up anytime between the hours of 12 and 4.

I rearranged my schedule so that I could be home and got busy cleaning out some closets upstairs while I was waiting. I had some music playing and did not hear the man knocking on my door.

Apparently he had been knocking for quite some time…But because the timeframe was earlier than the allotted window I was given, I was not expecting him quite so early.

To make a long story short, I ended up getting a call from the repair company and they told me that he was at my door, and I was able to finally let him in and all is well.
I felt bad that I had made him wait..I would have missed him if I would not have answered my phone. Even though I had prepared for his visit and rearranged my schedule, I may have missed it because I wasn’t clearly listening!

I thought about that for a moment, doesn’t everything bring to mind something that God would want us to know?…

How many of us get so busy in our day-to-day routines that we don’t stop and listen to God knocking on the door of our hearts?

We may be praying and waiting expectantly for God to show up and to do something, to fix something.. but when we have prayed, and when we’ve asked, do we then listen for his knocks, His promptings, his guidance, wisdom and his leading?

We must be ready to let God in...we must be ever watchful,
alert and expect God to show up at any moment. God’s ways are not our ways and his timing is not our timing… His timing is perfect because he knows things we do not yet know.

We can only see what’s right in front of us, but God can see the whole road ahead..he sees every curve, mountain, overpass, detour, and roadblock .

God will make the crooked places straight for us..he will go before us and make sure that our pathway is secure. He wants our burdens to be light in our yokes to be easy.

God doesn’t just do what we’ve prayed and what we’ve asked according to his will for our lives.. he does exceedingly abundantly more than we could ever ask or think. Eph 3:20

He doesn’t just meet the need, he exceeds the need!
The key is to keep asking and to keep thinking bigger and better things…Have a victory and breakthrough mindset..  We should live with expectancy knowing that God is eager to bless us.

What are you expecting? God wants us to get our hopes up!  One definition of hope  is “confident expectancy”
We must be ready to answer the door when God knocks with confident expectancy! We are never going to receive anything good from God if we don’t expect good things from him.. we must expect things to get better.  We must stop feeling sorry for ourselves and declaring the worst… From the abundance of our heart the mouth speaks… And the power of life and death are in our tongues… Declare life, declare blessings, declare breakthroughs, you are not going down you are going through! God promises to meet us at our level of expectancy that’s why Jesus said in Matthew 9:29
“According to your faith let it be done unto you..”
In other words we can have what our faith expects…

We should start expecting to overcome every challenge today and to be ready when God knocks on our doors with the answers we been seeking… We must seek his presence first.. and when we do seek him first and the kingdom of heaven, then God will give us all the things that we ask according to his will.
he will give us all things pertaining to life and godliness!

We should start expecting to overcome every challenge today and to be ready when God knocks on our doors with the answers we been seeking… Spend time in his presence seeking him every day.. do not miss an opportunity to be with God... be ready when he starts knocking on your door. Live every day of your life filled with the anticipation that God wants to bless you far above and beyond your wildest dreams...
Are you prepared..?

Those who wait for the Lord, who expect, look for, and hope in him, shall renew their strength
Isaiah 40:31

Luke 11:9-10
"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. "For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.
Luke 12:36

"Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks.

Matthew 7:8
"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
