Grow up in Christ by Nina Keegan

GROW UP IN THE SPIRIT OF GOD...
God wants us to mature in Him..  we are all His children.. and like all parents God watches us grow up, He wants us to mature in Him!

In Hebrews 6:1
It says "so let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again... let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding, surely we do not need to start again with fundamental importance of repenting of evil deeds and placing our faith in God...
In verse three it says .."and so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding..."
I pray daily that great would be my understanding of all things of God... When we read His word let's ask God to show us great and mighty things through His word that he wants us to know ...things that we do not yet know that we need to overcome all evil!

While Jesus was here on earth, He set about doing God's work..He offered prayers,Did great healing's ..comforted the hurting.. and he had a deep reverence for God. God heard his prayers and because of this deep reverence and love , Jesus walked in the  supernatural power of his Father.

As Jesus is in the world  ...so are we! 1 John 4:17

In order for us to grow from infant Christians to mature Christians, we must learn discernment. We must have a great reverence and believe in the power of the Holy Spirit in us. We must train ourselves, our senses, our mind and our body to distinguish good from evil. We must learn to recognize any evil and any temptation before it traps us.

Life as a Christian is a process the Bible talks about starting off as babies on milk and eventually growing into solid food ...the mighty Word of God and it's fullness in all truth .
Too often we want God's full banquet before we are spiritually and thoroughly capable fully digesting it.

Mature Christians should be digesting the word and acting it out, be a doer of the word. We must understand and know that we can and should be walking in the supernatural and doing the things Jesus died for us to be able to do.
We can receive the anointing through salvation and through understanding what's ours in the word of God and claim these promises to heal the sick... to receive the fullness of all joy and peace… To be set free from every besetting sin and stronghold of addiction.

As Christians we should be walking in the demonstration of God's power ... and we should be living examples of his perfect will for us!

In Hebrews 6 verse 18 it says that God has given both his promise and his oath it says that God BOUND himself to this oath ...that means it is unchangeable!
And when we BIND ourselves TO GOD , then we too can be immovable and unshakable in Him. we too can be BOUND TO THAT SAME OATH!

God is the ANCHOR of our souls..

This hope that we have in him is strong and trustworthy...
Because that's who HE is..strong and trustworthy! God's oath is as good as his name! God's name is as good as his divine nature..!

Let's pray for strength and for maturity in Him..Let us Bind ourselves to the word of God and pray for a great understanding of the mysteries of his will for our lives. Let's seek the promised abundance of his perfect truth, let's let the word of God Pierce our hearts and our souls as we step out in supernatural faith to glorify God in all we do!!!

Do not be a Christian in name only. Make sure your life bears great fruit. God is very just and he never forgets or overlooks our hard work when we seek him first and glorify his name in all we do!

May you be abundantly blessed!

Hebrews 5:11-14NLT

A Call to Spiritual Growth

11 There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. 12 You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word.[a] You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.

Hebrews 6:1-3New Living Translation (NLT)

So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds[a]and placing our faith in God. You don’t need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.

Hebrews 7:17

God also BOUND  himself with an oath so that those who receive the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind
