Be a Warrior of the Word!
Jude 1:3
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.
Are you a contender or a contestant in this life? God fights for us every second of every day.. The question remains, Do you fight for Him?
As Christians we're called to be contenders. We are to contend and fight for the things of God and embrace the power that comes from Him and Him alone.
It all revolves around God and our relationship with Him that is only available to us through salvation, this comes through the death and resurrection of God's beloved son Jesus.
It all comes down to that, what Jesus did for us and because of that, He has given us the ability and the grace and the empowerment to do what we need to do for the Lord here on Earth!
We need to contend with our discomfort, our persecution and our hurting hearts, and be sold out, humble, and faithful servants for The Lord regardless of what the repercussions and the backlash will be.
We can be in the world but not of the world ..we're not just put in this world to make everyone else happy, we're to contend for the things of Heaven and bring to Earth that which Jesus died for us to have. We as the body of Christ can stand together and contend for these things .. Freedom, justice, the unalienable rights our forefathers so diligently contended for and declare Revival!
We have the unmerited ability to command these very things, and the blessings of all of Heaven to be present here on earth.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven... The Bible says that greater works will we do than even Jesus himself because He was just one in Human flesh walking and talking to individuals in one generalized area at a time. We now through His death and resurrection have the Holy Spirit living in us; we do not have to go around looking for Jesus, Jesus is in Heaven contending with us and for us. He is interceding for us with His Father in Heaven. Additionally, as Christians, we simultaneously because of the of the Holy Spirit living inside of us have all His power that comes wrapped in that divine gift to be everywhere at once..
Yes, through Christ living in us, He can now be everywhere at once doing those greater works and using us to believe these truths and contend for them.
Great are the things can we do because we as Christians now all have the supernatural qualifications and abilities through Christ to accomplish the works of God! To Him be all glory.
We have a great commission to usher Jesus back! We are the ambassadors of Christ, His Earthly army placed on this worldly battleground muddled with hatred and intolerance. Call out the victory! Pray! Ask and never stop asking.
The toughest battles can be fought and won on our knees in prayer..
The Bible says that the violent take it by force.. We must stand! We must stand for His will or we fall for everything else...
The meaningful will ultimately become meaningless as the world becomes brazenly desensitized to the plight of a nation choosing to abandon God..
I for one, do not want to be a mere contestant in life but I want to be a contender I want to be the eyes, the ears, the mouthpiece of God, His hands, and feet that are doing His will here on earth.
It is not about us ...but it's about what Jesus did for us!
We must make a concise,deliberate, effort to live for Him and fight for Him in this life here and now!
Be a warrior of His Word!
We live on Earth today.. This present time is but a mere spec compared to eternity ...we must live for eternity and make all of our decisions with that in mind.
FIGHT, CONTEND...come out swinging for what the Bible says we can and will have and be in Him now!
Take hold of the promises of God and don't let go!
Believe for them do not believe the world and what it has to offer; look to the One who created the world and see what He is offering you!
He is offering you the guarantee of everlasting life in the kingdom of Heaven!
Yes be a contender, fight for that.. the ultimate gift! Don't just stand around being a contestant winning the door prizes of life.. Win the grand prize which is salvation and ultimately life spent in the presence of God our Heavenly Father and all His Glory! It's well worth the fight... Yes..well worth the fight.. STAND!
“If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them … you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. I will give you peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.” Leviticus 26:3
