Make Room by Nina Keegan

MAKE ROOM!

Change! Things around us are in a constant state of change, and has anybody ever noticed that change never makes an appointment with your calendar?
We all wish that God would just tell us to mark our calendars for next week because big changes are coming.. NO.. change, it just shows up, unannounced , mostly uninvited,  whether we are ready or not!

We need to be ready and willing to roll with the changes, keeping our hearts and minds focused on God!! WE NEED TO MAKE ROOM...MAKE ROOM FOR WHAT GOD WANTS TO DO IN THIS MOMENT OF UNPRECEDENTED  CHANGE!
HE IS OUR ONE CONSTANT, THE ONE WHO NEVER CHANGES!

After Jesus's death and resurrection, the disciples who once roamed the towns and villages side-by-side with the living, breathing, Jesus, now had to believe by faith in what they used to be able to touch... They were now, as we are, in an invisible covenant of having to trust in an unseen God… It was a new way of relating to God... faith in Jesus, our righteousness, they could no longer go to Jesus.. but rather now Jesus CAME TO THEM!

Even though this change had to be very hard on them… Jesus himself told them that it would be better for them that he was going away.

John 16:7
But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

Can you imagine what they were thinking? How could it be better that Jesus, the son of God, who walked with them, and ate with them, and prayed with them, and preached to them, and loved them, and worked miracles all around them, was not only leaving them ... but that his leaving was more beneficial to them than Him actually being with them.

How do we protect the things that God did in our lives while we simultaneously accept all that God is doing..?

We mustn't get stuck in the,"I wish It could be like it was" attitude.

We must MAKE ROOM for all that God wants to do in us, through us, and for us during this time...
Change has a purpose and we must seek God for it!

Acts 11:5
Peter was explaining about the time when he was in the city of Joppa, PRAYING..
"I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision, an object descending like a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners and it CAME TO ME...."

When we pray and earnestly seek God in these times of change and uncertainty, God will bring all we need to us!!! But we need to make room… Make room in our hearts, make room in our lives, let go of the old wine skins, forgive past hurts… Get rid of all doubts, repent, pray and begin to receive all that God has for you in this next season… in these times of vast change!
Make way.. make room for what's coming, accept new changes .. don't get so comfortable with your comfort zone ..position yourselves for a miracle... seek God first .. Seek his face, his wisdom!

..IT WILL COME TO YOU!!!

Peter did not have to chase it down, it chased him down… It came to him, and it will come to you… God's going to bring it to you and to me if we stay focused, and at peace, and steadfastly PRAYING for the will of God.. and if we stay planted by the streams of living waters, God's going to bring it to us!

Heaven opened up and Jesus came to us through his resurrection on the cross! HE CAME TO US!
Favor came down, blessings, joy, peace, wisdom, healing, the right people, the right ideas… It will all come to you when you stand praying and believing in this time of change for all that God wants to do in you ,for you, and through you.
Prepare a place, make room for what's coming!

The scripture continues and in Acts 9:40  it says, that when Peter was praying, he sent all of the other people out of the room… He had to make room… He was getting rid of all the naysayers, all the old mindsets, all the ones who couldn't receive new ideas, and those who did not believe in miracles.. He rid the room of doubters and negativity and was making an open space and room for all that God's abundant store house in Heaven wanted to pour out on him!

God was giving Peter opportunities that he didn't even pray for… Because that's how God is ...he always gives us exceedingly abundantly more than we can ask or think… Eph 3:20

Let's make room in our minds for God to do the unthinkable… For God to accomplish more through us than we could ever have imagined.. let's spend time with him, seeking what he wants for us, asking for strategies, guidance, and for Him to order our steps.
Clear out the clutter in your heart and in your mind so you are completely freed up for all the knowledge that God wants to fill our washed clean hearts and minds with! Throw it away, lay it all down..and make room for freedom and peace!

It's time to change our minds, it's time enlarge our borders.. then we will be able to roll through these changes with a strength, and an endurance, and a new vision.. but mostly with a definitive certainty of who God is in these diverse and  ever changing  times!!!
Make Room!!!

By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.”
[English Standard Version, Hebrews 11:8]

“Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.”
[1 Corinthians 15:51-42]

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
[Romans 12:2]

Hebrews 13:8 ESV

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

Joshua 1:9 ESV

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lordyour God is with you wherever you go.”

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV /

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 ESV

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 ESV

So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV /

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lordyour God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
